About Janie and Butch

What better way to enjoy life than to combine  two of our great loves - God and Music.  Butch and I met in August of 1972 in Jackson, Kentucky and we were married in September.  I was 18 and he was 21.  We have three boys which are all grown.  We live in Nicholasville, Kentucky.

After raising our family Butch and I decided that it was time to do something that we really enjoy, singing and playing Bluegrass music.  We mostly play bluegrass Gospel, but we do play other bluegrass.  We started our music endeavor by taking lessons from Dean Osborn and later lessons from Ken Holbrook.  Ken not only is our teacher but also the engineer of this CD.

In memory of my 2 cousins Joey Betancourt and Steve Simpson.

Our CD was Engineered and recorded by Ken Holbrook.  Background vocals and other instrumentals by
Ken Holbrook, lead singer Janie McIntosh, and Butch McIntosh played banjo on two of our songs.

Thanks to God first then to all of Butch's and my family for their support.
